What is Vijñān mandir? jñānam is knowledge of self, Ātma or Parmātma from traditional teacher of Vedānta or Guru who teaches sastra or scriptures of freedom from limitation or bondage.
Mandir is a place wher this traditional teaching is going on for seekers of knowledge.
So, Vijñān mandir is the place where self knowledge, knowledge of Ātma is taught. Vijñān is what Guru teaches with scripture about Ātma, brahma or Parabrahma is me. I am that.

1. river is symbol of jiva,soul which merges into ocean. in fact, ocean water is showered on mountain in form of rain with the help of sun rays and process of evoperation, ultimately turning into ocean.In the same way, jiva is parabrahma or supreme self but due to gnorance, belives-----jiva. with saadhna, jiva knows oneself as parabrahma.2. bird has 2 wings a) jnanam knowledge of self and b) vairagyam ---- freedom from longing for things that are time bound including heaven.3. scripture which is means of knowledge.4. Veda's message is SATYAM JNANAM ANANTAM BRAHMAN which is real nature of oneself. |
